Roskilde University (RUC) welcomed its new students with an energetic start to the academic year. The first-day events combined music, dance, and community activities, emphasizing engagement, curiosity, and collaboration.
Tutors led students in interactive exercises around campus, including the traditional Markbjerg Mark procession. Students experienced a mix of fun, experimentation, and social bonding, setting a positive tone for the year ahead.
Rector Hanne Leth Andersen highlighted the importance of courage, curiosity, and active participation in learning, encouraging students to explore, ask questions, and take chances from day one.
