A recent study by the University of Ljubljana has found that young people in Slovenia primarily gain digital skills from peers, while schools provide limited advanced digital literacy training. About 75 percent of students reported missing essential content such as safe online use and evaluating information credibility.
The research also shows that over 90 percent of young respondents have used AI tools like ChatGPT, highlighting both excitement and concerns about artificial intelligence. Key challenges include digital illiteracy among youth, parents, and teachers, as well as the growing need for digital disconnection.
