Four faculty members from the University of Miskolc have been awarded the prestigious János Bolyai Research Scholarship, which recognizes outstanding research achievements and supports young scholars as they transition from completing their PhD to launching independent research careers.
This year, the Bolyai program—established by the Hungarian Academy of Sciences—received 750 applications, with 155 researchers selected nationwide. Among the awardees are:
- Béla Fiser – Materials Science and Technology
- Helga Kovács – Materials Science and Technology
- Roland Szabó – Materials Science and Technology
- Gergely Kunt – History
The Bolyai Scholarship strengthens ties between the Academy, its doctors, and emerging researchers, providing crucial stability and predictability for Hungary’s next generation of academics.
