Eötvös József College has earned the Family Friendly Workplace title, joining 90 organizations nationwide recognized this year for initiatives that help balance work and family life. The award was presented to Nagy-Czirok Anita, the college’s grant coordinator, at a ceremony hosted by the Ministry of Culture and Innovation at the Bálna Honvédelmi Központ in Budapest.
The call for applications was announced for the 15th time by the National Cultural Support Manager on behalf of the ministry. This year’s award highlighted how family-friendly practices can promote a supportive work environment and long-term well-being. Since its launch, the program has received 3,486 applications, with 765 institutions earning the honor.
Thanks to its successful application, Eötvös József College secured nearly 5 million HUF (4,997,440) to fund programs designed to enhance employee well-being. Planned activities include a health day featuring screenings, lifestyle counseling, and exercise sessions, as well as mental health workshops and team-building events. The college will also provide holiday gift packages and renovate indoor and outdoor community spaces to strengthen its culture of health, support, and work-life balance.
“These initiatives will not only benefit our staff now but will become a long-term part of our college’s operations, reinforcing a family friendly and health-conscious workplace,” the college noted.
