Budapest, Hungary – After nearly five memorable years, Mia Manna Vám, captain of the U16 girls’ team at Vasas Kubala Academy, is officially parting ways with the club to continue her football journey elsewhere. Known for her incredible goal-scoring ability and leadership, Mia leaves behind a legacy of excellence and heartfelt memories.
During her time at the academy, Mia scored 156 goals in 89 matches across various age categories, with over 100 of them recorded in the 2024/25 season alone. She won two gold and two silver medals with the U14 and U16 squads and topped the scoring charts for the U14 HNP team in the 2023/24 season with 43 goals, earning the title “King of Goals” for her region.
In a heartfelt message, Mia reflected on her journey:
“It wasn’t an easy decision. Iron grew on my heart, it was almost my second home. I’ve wanted to level up in order to improve and now the time has come. Perhaps I’m not exaggerating to say that I grew up at Kubala Academy… I am indebted to everyone that I could end my career in Vasas.”
The academy extended its gratitude to Mia for her dedication, sportsmanship, and unforgettable contributions:
“Thank you, Mia, for the years spent at Vasas Kubala Academy. We wish you continued success both in your personal life and in your future sporting career!”
