Dr. György Hauber, university lecturer at Budapest Business School (BGE), has been honored as the “Teacher of the Year” in the category for universities and colleges with over 7,000 students, based on student nominations in the 2025 Hallgatói Önkormányzatok Országos Konferenciája (HÖOK) awards.
In addition to this prestigious title, Dr. Hauber also received the Audience Award after winning the most votes in the public poll conducted on HÖOK’s Egyeteminsta Instagram page, earning a cash prize of 1,000,000 HUF.
The “Teacher of the Year” award was established by HÖOK in 2025 to highlight the important role educators play in students’ lives, as recognized by the students themselves. The award recognizes outstanding teachers in three categories: role model in humanity, professional role model, and teaching role model. Each category honors three educators, with a total of nine awardees in 2025.
The awards ceremony took place on July 9 during the official conference program of the EFOTT Festival, the IV. Educatio+ Conference.
We warmly congratulate our colleague Dr. György Hauber on this well-deserved recognition!
