The Jagiellonian University has secured funding for five research projects in the ninth edition of Poland’s “Implementation PhD” program, designed for doctoral candidates who combine academic research with professional work outside the university. Projects will be carried out at the Doctoral Schools of Social Sciences, Exact and Natural Sciences, and Medical and Health Sciences.
Topics include enhancing teachers’ digital competences for inclusive education, developing a Lean School Framework for primary school management, creating polymer nanocapsules for targeted cancer therapy, optimizing cosmetic product mineralization methods, and analyzing rare skeletal features for forensic identification. Each doctoral project will be conducted jointly under academic and industry supervision, with candidates receiving dual remuneration and a four-year completion timeline.
