The Technical University of Liberec has introduced four new charging stands for electric bicycles and scooters, located between buildings F1 and F2 opposite the rector’s office. The initiative aims to support sustainable transport and provide a safe, convenient place for staff and students to park and charge their vehicles free of charge during work and class hours.
According to university bursar Martina Froschová, the move is part of a broader strategy to promote environmentally responsible mobility. The charging area is monitored by security cameras, and users must bring their own charging cables.
The campus also offers multiple facilities for traditional bicycles, including stands, storage rooms, and covered cycle boxes, reflecting the university’s ongoing commitment to green transport solutions.
