The Electrical Faculty of Wroclaw University of Science and Technology has received the main award in the “Faculty Friendly for Everyone” competition, organized for the third time by the Alpha Foundation. The initiative honors academic units that create inclusive conditions for all students, including those on the autism spectrum.
The faculty was recognized for its “Development Space” project, launched in September 2024 under the leadership of Dr. Joanna Budzisz, with support from Oliwia Frankiewicz. Located in the D-20 building alongside the dean’s office, the space provides flexible learning solutions, tutoring, psychological support, and a quiet area, as well as peer support groups, including informal networks for neurodiverse students.
Future plans include cooperation with the university’s Accessibility Office, training for tutors in autism support, and a special onboarding program for new students with special needs, featuring orientation sessions and guided campus tours.
