Thao Nguyen Le Phuoc, MSc, at the University of Eastern Finland, has completed a doctoral dissertation on computational design of carbene–metal–amide complexes for thermally activated delayed fluorescence (TADF) in OLEDs. The research combines DFT/TD-DFT computational screening with experimental validation to identify high-performance emitters with near-unity quantum yields, short excited-state lifetimes, and excellent thermal and photostability. This predictive framework supports sustainable, efficient, and color-tunable OLED materials for next-generation displays and lighting technologies.
