Ten students from the University of Coimbra took part in the European Innovation Academy (EIA) 2025, held at the Institute of Biomedical Sciences Abel Salazar, University of Porto. The intensive summer program brought together participants from dozens of nationalities to transform ideas into viable startups, with guidance from mentors linked to institutions such as Google, the University of California, Berkeley, and Amazon. Supported by the University of Coimbra and Fundação Santander Portugal, the students received competitive scholarships. Participants highlighted the program’s fast-paced, hands-on approach and its value in developing entrepreneurial skills, international collaboration, and personal growth.
