Students from the Drone Research Center at the Institute of Theoretical and Experimental Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Communication at Brno University of Technology, have completed their first industrial collaboration. Working with UDX Research, they designed and built a scale model of a revolutionary urban personal flying vehicle, internally dubbed the “motorcycle” due to its tandem seating layout.
The project features a tiltrotor design, keeping pilots upright and providing potential for future urban air mobility solutions. Students gained practical experience in aerodynamics, propulsion, lightweight construction, and control system tuning. A full-scale model for two passengers is planned, with detailed specifications available on the manufacturer’s website.
