The Brussels Programme on European Foreign Policy successfully concluded its 2025 edition, welcoming students from the University of Southern California and various Flemish universities. The programme, organized by the Centre for Security, Diplomacy and Strategy (CSDS) under Prof. Caterina Carta, provided an in-depth understanding of the EU’s role in foreign, security, and defence policies.
Participants explored European integration, EU institutions, transatlantic relations, and regional challenges including the Russia-Ukraine and Israeli-Palestinian conflicts. The five-week programme for USC students (19 May–20 June) included lectures, internships, and visits to European and NATO headquarters, while Flemish students joined from 9 to 20 June for lectures, external visits, and skillset seminars.
Now in its sixteenth year, the programme combines academic and practitioner perspectives to prepare students for contemporary challenges in European governance and security.
