UMPRUM student and product designer Sofia Artemeva will showcase her bachelor project, “Terra Aesthetica. Ephemerality of Aesthetics in Contemporary Design,” at the Venice Design Biennial. Her work explores the balance between creative desire and environmental and ethical responsibility, using mirrors, wax, soap, and unfired clay to express temporality and materiality. The exhibition, themed Extinction / Salvation, highlights independent designers and runs on Giudecca Island until November 2.
