
The University of Sopron has launched the EKÖP scholarship program for the 2025/2026 academic year, supporting 22 talented students and young researchers in undergraduate, master’s, doctoral, and young faculty categories. Funded by the Ministry of Culture and Innovation through the National Research, Development and Innovation Office, the program encourages research in sustainability, circular economy, cultural heritage preservation, digital habits, and social innovation.
The EKÖP-Cooperative Doctoral Program (EKÖP-KDP) will also begin in September 2025, enabling doctoral researchers to work for 36 months while contributing to higher education talent management and innovative Hungarian enterprises. The program ensures that future scientists can begin their research careers in Sopron.
