The Türk Sarok, launched in December 2024 at the Faculty of Humanities of the University of Debrecen, continues to strengthen cultural and academic cooperation between Hungary and Central Asia. The center highlights the traditions, languages, and heritage of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan while fostering institutional partnerships.
As part of this initiative, teachers from TIIAME National Research University (The Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers) and the National University of Uzbekistan are participating in a ten-day training program at the University of Debrecen.
The program focuses on language assessment and evaluation methods created by the Faculty of Humanities. A key element is the presentation of the university’s DExam exam center, where participants gain both theoretical and practical knowledge in exam development and training materials.
According to Péter Csatár, Deputy Dean for Strategy and Economics, the cooperation demonstrates the mutual benefits of these partnerships. The training is led by Ildikó Csépes, head of the Department of English Language Pedagogy and Methodology, and Erzsébet Bölcskei, language teacher.
