As part of Corvinus Research Excellence Day, Oxford evolutionary behavioral scientist and Corvinus alumnus Tamás Dávid-Barrett visited his alma mater on May 21. He spoke with Dr. Adél Pásztor at the Corvinus Library about the Hungarian release of his new book The Nature of Patriarchy. The book dives into how gender norms and patriarchal systems evolved across cultures and time through an evolutionary anthropology lens. During the talk, Tamás reflected on the scientific objectivity required to write on such a sensitive topic and shared insights from his early mentorship and career path—from Corvinus to Cambridge to predicting global crises.
