Budapest, May 16, 2025 – As the Spring 2025 semester nears its end, the Central Academic Office (CAO) at Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME) has issued important guidelines for exchange students preparing to return to their home institutions.
Exchange students must secure two official documents from BME:
- Departure Certificate
- Transcript of Records
➤ Departure Certificate
Students can apply after May 25 if all courses include mid-term marks. Those with exam-based assessments may only apply after all grades are uploaded in Neptun.
Applications can be submitted in two ways:
- Via Neptun using the 027 Request for a certificate (type: Erasmus departure certificate)
- In person during office hours
➤ Transcript of Records
Available only after the following conditions are met:
- Final Learning Agreement is submitted through 040 Neptun request (after May 19)
- All grades are entered in Neptun
- No outstanding debts
Requests should then be submitted via the 027 Neptun form.
➤ Confirmed Last Day of Stay
- If all courses have mid-term marks: last day is June 4, unless leaving earlier (but not before May 26)
- If at least one exam course: last day is 3 working days after final exam date
- For late exams between June 26–30: final date is June 30
The CAO reminds students that failure to meet all criteria will result in document request rejections.
For detailed guidance, students should consult their Neptun platform or visit the CAO office during working hours.
