Atlantic Technological University (ATU) has received formal accreditation from the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland (PSI) to deliver a new Master of Pharmacy (MPharm) programme at its Sligo campus starting September 2025. This five-year Level 9 programme will provide professional registration as a pharmacist in Ireland and across the EU/EEA. The initiative addresses the national shortage of pharmacists, offering graduates career opportunities in clinical practice, research, policy, academia, and the pharmaceutical and MedTech industries. Initial student intake is 32, with applications open through CAO available places until 4 September 2025. The programme also includes two work placements to enhance practical training and regional healthcare impact.
