This summer, three Brussels School of Governance (BSoG) BA students — Jacqueline Lamothe, Isaac Miner, and Salman Mehmood — participated in the Global Law and Business Seminar at Columbia University in New York.
The five-day seminar covered Topics in International Arbitration, Deals: The Law and Economics of Transactions, and Get the Deal Done: Cross-Border Mergers and Acquisitions for Global Executives and Lawyers. Upon completion, students received an official statement of participation from Columbia University.
Jacqueline Lamothe also completed a seven-week internship within the International and Comparative Law Programmes Office at Columbia University, where she engaged with programmes on national security law, international commercial arbitration, and the US Business Law Academy.
Students highlighted the seminar as academically enriching and personally rewarding, emphasizing the value of their BSoG courses in business law and EU law as a foundation for understanding complex legal frameworks in international business and arbitration.
