The annual Career Fair in Science was held at Aula Magna at Stockholm University, bringing together students and representatives from around 30 organizations, companies, alumni networks, and recruitment agencies.
The event offered seminars in Swedish and English on labour market trends and career prospects for science graduates. Students received practical advice on networking, gaining work experience during their studies, and preparing for thesis projects. A panel discussion also highlighted the importance of choosing a motivating thesis topic and building a strong relationship with a supervisor.
Employers including the County Administrative Board of Stockholm and consulting firm Tyréns emphasized the demand for skills in environmental science, ecology, and geographic information systems. The fair provided students with valuable insight into career paths in public authorities and urban planning.
