
The strategic CEPIS project at Silesian University in Opava has reached a key milestone, as the building permit for the new Centre for Business, Professional and International Studies has become legally valid. This clears the way for construction to begin.Work is expected to start in April, with completion planned for the end of 2027. The new facility in Karviná will serve around 400 students and include modern teaching spaces, transport access, parking, landscaping, and geothermal wells for energy-efficient heating and cooling.Preparatory work, including limited tree removal and subsequent replanting, will take place before construction begins. Once completed, the building will primarily support professionally oriented and English-taught programmes at the Faculty of Business Administration in Karviná
