Anne Vang Rasmussen, Rector of Copenhagen University College and chair of the governmental expert group on school inclusion, emphasizes the need for legal reforms to support early interventions in schools. Highlighting rising absenteeism and segregation into special education, the expert group proposes new pedagogical-didactic action plans to ensure children can participate fully in social and academic school life. The recommendations aim to strengthen inclusion, reduce high absenteeism, and shift focus from purely individual assessments to classroom-level support.
The proposed reforms also suggest relieving administrative burdens while enhancing early preventive work and promoting collaboration between schools, families, and social services.
