SEON, an online fraud prevention startup founded by alumni of Corvinus University, has taken the top spot on Forbes’ 2025 list of the hottest Hungarian startups. The company was launched by Tamás Kádár and Bence Jendruszák, who met at Corvinus in 2013 over a shared interest in cryptocurrency. Today, SEON serves global clients like Revolut, Patreon, WorldCoin, and AirFrance-KLM, and plans to earn half its revenue from the U.S., where its co-founders now manage operations from Austin, Texas.
The Forbes list highlights emerging startups with Hungarian ownership and global ambitions. It ranks companies under ten years old, using criteria such as innovation, scalability, global reach, team expertise, and investor quality.
Another Corvinus alumnus, György Szilágyi, co-founded Kodesage, which placed ninth. Kodesage uses AI to build internal documentation systems for large corporations.
