
On Hungary’s national holiday of 20 August, Anthony Radev, former President of Corvinus University of Budapest, was honoured with the Commander’s Cross of the Order of Merit of Hungary. The award was presented by Gergely Gulyás, Minister heading the Prime Minister’s Office, on behalf of President Tamás Sulyok, during a ceremony at the Museum of Ethnography on 15 August.
Radev, who served as President between 2019 and 2024, played a key role in the renewal and modernization of Corvinus University. The Order of Merit of Hungary is one of the country’s highest state honours, awarded to individuals whose work in culture, science, the arts, or their profession contributes significantly to Hungary’s development and universal human values.
