A discussion on the role and influence of Hungarian communities in the United States will take place this September at Budapesti Corvinus Egyetem, offering insight into how diaspora networks operate across the Atlantic.
The event, titled Hungarian Communities in the United States, will explore how Hungarian diaspora groups function in major American cities such as Los Angeles and New York City, as well as what it means to advocate for Hungarian interests in Washington, D.C.. Organizers aim to shed light on the cultural, political, and institutional connections linking Hungary and the United States.
The guest speaker, Indri Dániel Janisz, a staff member of the Hungarian Human Rights Foundation, will share first-hand experiences from both the West and East Coasts. His talk is expected to cover diaspora organization, advocacy strategies, community building efforts, and the representation of Hungarian causes within the American political sphere.
The program is open to anyone interested in gaining a deeper understanding of how Hungarian-American organizations operate, as well as students curious about internship and scholarship opportunities in the United States.
