A team from Corvinus University of Budapest claimed victory at the CEEPUS Green Supply Chain Hackathon hosted by the University of Maribor in Slovenia. The event focused on creating sustainable, entrepreneurial solutions for short food supply chains, aiming to cut intermediaries and support a greener future.
The Corvinus team—Márton Áron Áder, Gergő Dudás, Zsanett Gáspár, Bence Nagy-Jávori, Zsófia Simon, and Dániel Zelei, mostly tourism specialization students—presented an innovative approach to strengthening local food systems. Their project impressed an international jury with its practical sustainability and fresh perspective. The group was mentored by Dr. Krisztina Keller and Dr. Bence Csapody.
This international, interdisciplinary hackathon was part of the CEEPUS program and offered students a platform to collaborate on real-world challenges in sustainable food systems. Excitingly, next year’s Green Supply Chain Hackathon will be held in Budapest, bringing the competition to Corvinus’ home ground.
