The Corvinus University of Budapest is once again offering its prestigious DSG German Management Training Programme, providing students with unique opportunities to prepare for careers with top companies in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. These three countries remain Hungary’s most important economic partners, making the programme highly relevant for students planning to work in the DACH region.
For more than 30 years, DSG has delivered internationally recognised management courses in German, in partnership with the University of Passau. The curriculum is taught by renowned Hungarian, German, and Austrian lecturers, offering students high-quality education and a valuable international perspective.
Students enrolled in programmes such as Finance and Accounting, Applied Economics, Business Administration and Management, Business Informatics, Data Science in Management, or International Business who also hold at least a B2-level German language certificate are eligible to apply.
One of the advantages of DSG is that students can complete compulsory courses – including Business Economics (Allgemeine Betriebswirtschaftslehre), Corporate Finance (Investition und Finanzierung), and Marketing – entirely in German. These courses count fully toward programme requirements, eliminating the need to repeat them in Hungarian or English while earning the same credits.
Beyond coursework, DSG offers a rich variety of professional and cultural experiences:
- A study trip to Passau or a visit to Vienna University of Economics and Business
- A semester in Germany with support from a DAAD scholarship
- Company visits, such as to the Mercedes factory in Kecskemét
- Freshmen’s Eve (Erstsemester-Abend) on 24 September, a social event where new students meet peers, lecturers, and alumni in an informal setting.
The DSG entrance test (language assessment) will take place on 2 September at 17:00 at the Gellért Campus. Registration is already open.
In addition, the DSG Club, a student-run organisation, provides year-round opportunities for community-building, professional development, and networking. This close-knit community has become one of the hallmarks of the programme, giving students both academic advantages and a supportive environment.
For more information, students can connect with DSG during Welcome Week at the DSG stand, at the freshman camp, or reach out by email at dsg@uni-corvinus.hu.
The programme continues to play a crucial role in preparing students for international careers while strengthening Hungary’s economic ties with its German-speaking partners.
