Københavns Professionshøjskole and several municipal directors have warned against relocating professional education spots from Denmark’s Capital Region. They highlight acute shortages of teachers, pedagogues, and nurses, with one in four pedagogical positions currently unfilled. KP graduates, including around 950 nurses annually, have extremely low unemployment, showing high local demand. Moving or reducing study places could worsen workforce shortages and discourage students from pursuing professional education. Positive trends from the quota 2 system indicate that applications to welfare programs are increasing, reinforcing the need to maintain local education capacity.
