
Gabor Denes University announced that Dr. József Berke, head of the Department of Drone Technology and Image Processing, received his university professorship in a formal ceremony at Sándor Palace. The appointment was made by Dr. Tamás Sulyok, President of Hungary, upon the recommendation of the Minister responsible for Culture and Innovation, and is effective retroactively from December 15, 2025.
Dr. Berke’s research focuses on drone-based data collection, remote sensing, and applied image processing solutions, which play a significant role in both education and industrial collaborations. The title of university professor is one of the highest professional recognitions in Hungarian higher education, reinforcing Gabor Denes University’s national standing in technological and applied research.
