
Technical University of Denmark hosted its largest recruitment event, Åbent Hus, on campus in Lyngby, attracting over 2,000 visitors curious about engineering studies and student life. Prospective students explored stands for all bachelor and diploma engineering programs, met students and instructors, and attended presentations and campus tours.Highlights included student projects from DTU’s Blue Dot initiative, such as the rocket team DanSTAR and the eco-car team RoadRunners, showcasing advanced technological solutions. Visitors also gained insight into the new diploma program in Industrial Technology at DTU Risø and the popular General Engineering bachelor program, which offers a broad, English-taught curriculum combining science, technology, and practical skills.Attendees like Jonas Klarskov Jensen and Kristina Andersen highlighted how the event helped them understand study options, campus facilities, and potential career paths, from sustainable solutions to IT, gaming, and Formula 1 engineering.Lars D. Christoffersen emphasized the importance of inspiring prospective students to pursue engineering, which is crucial for developing future technologies in energy, medical devices, intelligent systems, and more. Åbent Hus allowed visitors to experience DTU’s academic environment firsthand and sparked curiosity about their future careers.
