Eight tourism and hospitality students and two faculty members from Edutus University took part in a study trip to Milan under the RRF project, aimed at building connections with local higher education institutions, learning about their programs and student life, and exploring future partnerships.
The group visited three universities, including IULM University, where they received detailed briefings on bachelor’s and master’s programs in tourism and hospitality and met with staff responsible for international relations. They were pleased to see many similarities between IULM’s student-focused approach and small class sizes and the practices at Edutus. Discussions also touched on the potential for Erasmus collaboration.
Participants also toured the campuses of Politecnico di Milano and the University of Milan, gaining insights into their course offerings and campus experiences. A special highlight was attending a lecture by the Turkish education attaché. Across all sites, the group encountered openness and helpfulness.
The trip, described by participants as enriching and forward-looking, was made possible through the RRF-2.1.2-21 project.
