This June, the University of Szeged (SZTE) will host the European First Year Experience (EFYE) Conference 2026, emphasizing a student-centered approach. Unlike traditional conferences, EFYE 2026 is designed with students and for students, ensuring that their perspectives influence every aspect of the event.
EFYE provides a platform for exploring how to enhance first-year university experiences, reduce dropout rates, and support students from day one. Beyond theory, participating students gain real-world experience in project management, intercultural communication, and teamwork. Contributions are recognized academically, with 2 credits awarded for organizing activities.
Students from any discipline at SZTE can apply for the conference’s organizing team through an alternative internship program. Applicants must submit a CV, photo, and a short motivation letter to horvath.lilla@szte.hu by February 17, 2026. Preference will be given to those available during the peak event period, June 8–12, 2026.
