
On June 20, 2025, Jenő Bárdos, founder and professor emeritus of the Doctoral School of Educational Sciences at Eszterházy Károly Katolikus University and also professor emeritus at the Pannon University’s Institute of English–American Studies, was honored with the Báthory Zoltán Memorial Medal by the Hungarian Educational Research Association (HERA). This is the highest recognition given by HERA to scholars who have made outstanding scientific contributions to educational research in Hungary for decades, while also mentoring early-career researchers. Professor Bárdos’s interdisciplinary work in applied linguistics and educational research earned him this distinguished accolade.
