The Instituto Politécnico de Coimbra hosted the Annual Summit and International Conference of the UNIgreen European University Alliance. The event gathered around one hundred participants from partner institutions across Europe to discuss sustainable agriculture, green biotechnology, environmental sciences, and life sciences.
The summit focused on evaluating progress, aligning strategic goals, and strengthening partnerships between academia, industry, and society to support the green transition. Meetings of the alliance’s governance bodies reviewed performance indicators and adjusted priorities for the next implementation phase, while the integration of new European partners further expanded the alliance’s scope.
Alongside strategic discussions, the international conference emphasized the role of collaboration and student involvement in building European Universities. Training sessions for international mobility and project management staff also contributed to capacity building and closer institutional cooperation.
The summit highlighted the growing impact of European University Alliances in promoting sustainability, innovation, and cross-border collaboration in higher education.
