The first “Future Leaders Program” at the Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences (MATE) concluded with a closing conference on May 22, 2025. As part of the MATE 2030 strategy, this elite talent development initiative aims to prepare top students for future leadership roles through skill-building, networking, team projects, and mentorship.
Rector Dr. Csaba Gyuricza emphasized that knowledge is the one currency accepted worldwide, and highlighted MATE’s commitment to supporting students from high school to senior academic careers. The program selected only 50 outstanding students, offering them a unique pathway to excel in academia, policy, innovation, and management.
At the closing event, students, mentors, and program leaders shared their experiences and celebrated a year of achievements—including research publications, patents, and international exchange opportunities. The “Student Ambassador Program” was also announced, enabling top students to study at leading European universities.
The program will return next academic year, continuing to foster leadership and innovation among Hungary’s brightest students.
