An innovative educational software platform developed at the University of Szeged has achieved international recognition. The mozaMedical platform, created in collaboration with Mozaik Kiadó Kft., was shortlisted as a finalist at the Bett EdTech exhibition in London, one of the world’s leading educational technology events.
Developed within a project supported by Hungary’s National Research, Development and Innovation Office (NKFI), mozaMedical is an interactive life sciences simulation platform. It enables students to apply theoretical knowledge in realistic healthcare scenarios within a safe, virtual environment. The system features hand controller-based simulations, a smartphone application for immersive observation, and detailed 3D animations to enhance understanding.
The platform has been integrated into the Faculty of Health Sciences and Social Studies curriculum for the second consecutive year, with more than 1,700 Hungarian and international students already benefiting from its use. Its English-language content has attracted interest from international institutions, and its recognition at Bett highlights its competitiveness in the global digital health education market.
