Gabor Denes University has officially joined the UrbanTech Platform, a collaborative initiative launched in Miskolc alongside HUN-REN SZTAKI, multiple domestic and cross-border municipalities, and industry partners. The platform aims to enhance urban innovation, artificial intelligence, digitalization, and data-driven public services, providing cities of all sizes access to advanced technologies and practical solutions.
The initiative seeks to improve municipal efficiency, stimulate local economies through job creation, and advance digital literacy and data-driven decision-making. Founder cities include Miskolc, Budakeszi, Salgotarjan, Veszprem, Debrecen, Eger, Zalaegerszeg, Kaposvar, and the cross-border city of Csikszereda.
In October 2025, Miskolc will host a national conference titled “Artificial Intelligence at the Service of Cities” as part of the platform’s ongoing activities.
