2024 Youth Sailing World Championship, Lake Garda, Italy. The world’s brightest talents will put on a show between 13-20 July for a shot at sailing glory with medals up for grabs across 11 events on Italy’s largest lake. Gdansk Medical University highlighted the achievements of student athletes Ewa Lewandowska (sailing) and Julia Koralewska (running), who successfully combined high-level sports with demanding medical studies. Both received support through the National Academic Representation program, enabling flexible study schedules and funding for additional academic activities. The program, backed by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, provided 12 million PLN for student-athletes last academic year, helping them balance training, competitions, and university responsibilities.
