Gdansk University of Technology has officially inaugurated the NATO DIANA Living Lab, a new facility designed to test and showcase advanced technologies for security and defense. The initiative is developed in partnership with the Ministry of National Defence and the NATO DIANA Accelerator Poland.The Living Lab provides a unique environment where innovative solutions can be tested in conditions closer to real-world operations rather than traditional laboratory settings. During the launch event, several cutting-edge technologies were demonstrated, including drone detection systems, advanced communication tools, cryptographic solutions, and critical infrastructure protection technologies.The inauguration took place at the STOS Competence Centre and included presentations from university representatives, NATO officials, and government leaders. The event also featured demonstrations from companies involved in the NATO DIANA program, highlighting next-generation innovations in cybersecurity and defense systems.The project aims to bridge the gap between technical validation and real-world application, accelerating the deployment of new technologies. Its strategic location in Gdansk, with access to land, air, and maritime testing environments, enhances its potential as a key hub for innovation in Europe.The Living Lab is expected to open further to innovators and industry partners, with the first visits from end users planned for the second half of 2026.
