
Magyar Agrár- és Élettudományi Egyetem celebrated the 30th anniversary of its horticultural engineering program in Zentai on 2026. The program, originally established by the university’s predecessor institution, has played a key role in strengthening agricultural education and retaining skilled professionals in the region.Speakers emphasized the importance of high-quality education, regional innovation, and cross-border cooperation within the Carpathian Basin as a shared agro-economic area. Future priorities include expanding doctoral education opportunities in the region, strengthening adult education programs, and promoting the alumni network.During the ceremony, a cooperation agreement was signed to further support doctoral training in the region. Awards and recognitions were presented to institutional leaders, staff members, and long-term contributors. The event concluded with professional lectures addressing past achievements and future challenges of local agriculture.
