The Hungarian University of Dance (MTE) has announced a supplementary admission round for its Classical Ballet specialization, inviting applications from 10–12-year-old girls and boys who aspire to pursue a professional career in dance. The program offers a unique, long-term educational pathway that allows students to begin their artistic journey in childhood and continue all the way to earning a university degree within the same institution.
Alongside intensive professional ballet training, students receive comprehensive general education through the university’s eight-grade Nádasi Ferenc Secondary Grammar School, starting from Grade 5 through to graduation. The integrated model ensures that academic studies and artistic development progress hand in hand, providing a stable and structured environment for young talents.
For students arriving from outside Budapest, accommodation is available from the age of 10 in the university’s on-campus dormitory, creating a fully supportive educational setting that combines dance training, general studies, and residential life in one place.
The training system is built progressively, guiding students step by step from early foundational instruction toward a professional career. While admission at this stage does not constitute the beginning of higher education studies, it represents entry into a multi-level training structure operating within a university framework. Upon successful completion of the full program, students may obtain a Bachelor of Arts degree in Dance (BA).
