Students and faculty members of the Hungarian University of Fine Arts (HUFA) actively participated in the IPMAU (Interdisciplinary Puppet/ry Modules for Art Universities) project event held in Vienna on 2–3 June 2025, hosted by Theater LILARUM and the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna.
The event featured an artistic delegation from HUFA’s Department of Visual Design, including students Petra Pápai, Panna Villányi-Nagy, and Zóra Wéber, as well as puppet workshop participants Apolka Gödri, Gyöngyvér Varannai, and Vanda Vanyó. They were accompanied by lecturers Patrícia Pajor and Vivien Virág, along with Judit Varga, representative of the university’s Project Office.
As part of the exhibition, the HUFA students installed puppets created during the project’s Basic and Focus Modules and explored the visual artworks presented by students from Vienna. Lecturer Patrícia Pajor delivered a presentation on the outcomes of the Focus Module course, conducted in collaboration with Erasmus students.
On the second day, participants were treated to a guided tour and a live performance at LILARUM Puppet Theatre, enriching their exposure to contemporary puppetry practices.
The event marked another milestone in the IPMAU project’s mission to foster international collaboration and innovation in puppetry arts through interdisciplinary education.
