
On May 20, 2025, Óbuda University hosted a strategic meeting with a prominent Chinese university delegation, organized alongside the Hungarian Rectors’ Conference. The event aimed at deepening China-Hungary educational cooperation through initiatives like dual-degree programs, research collaboration, and increased student exchange. The China-Hungary Board for Higher Education Cooperation (CHB), connecting over 57 Chinese universities, highlighted their goal to boost the number of Chinese students in Hungary to 1,200 by 2027. A major international conference (EGPC) scheduled for April 2026 was also announced, expected to further enhance Hungary’s reputation as a top educational destination for Chinese students.
