The International Business School Budapest held its fourth annual World Tour, an English-language competition for 11th and 12th grade students. The event, organized in collaboration with the British Embassy and Emirates Airlines, welcomed participants from Hungary as well as Serbian, Croatian, and Slovakian high schools.
Top performers from the March qualifiers advanced to the final round, judged by an international panel. The awards ceremony took place on June 6, 2025, at the IBS campus.
The winner, Bálint Juhos from Veres Péter High School, received a week-long trip for two to any Emirates destination. His mentor, Szilvia Számodóné Békéssy, received a special prize of 400,000 Ft, while the school was granted 1,200,000 Ft. Second place went to Enikő Kovács of DSZC Bethlen Gábor Közgazdági Technikum és Kollégium, and third to Mihály Kakuk from Árpád Secondary School. The top three finishers were also hosted at a tea party by the British Ambassador of Hungary.
All finalists were awarded scholarships for bachelor programs at IBS. The competition’s growing popularity promises an exciting 2026 edition, again supported by Emirates Airlines and the British Embassy.
