
The Hungarian Dance University hosted the 8th Arts Pedagogy Conference on May 29–30, celebrating innovation in arts education as part of the university’s 75th anniversary. With over 240 attendees and seven active venues, the event featured a diverse program of lectures, roundtable discussions, and dance workshops. Keynote speaker Prof. Dr. Anne Bamford (New England University, Australia) emphasized the role of the arts in developing global creative thinking, while Dr. Hanna Pohjola (University of Eastern Finland) explored the therapeutic potential of performative dance in rehabilitation. The conference also included a roundtable on artificial intelligence and the arts, featuring well-known Hungarian experts from various creative and academic fields. The event concluded with a traditional live music dance house, performed by students from the Liszt Ferenc Academy, reinforcing the conference’s strong connection between education, innovation, and cultural heritage.
