Instituto Politécnico de Bragança and several universities from Brazil’s Paraná state have launched a new international program aimed at accelerating innovation and supporting the internationalization of start-ups.The initiative was formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding signed in Curitiba during the Araucária Week of Science, Technology and Innovation. Participating institutions include Universidade Tecnológica Federal do Paraná and other state universities from Paraná.The program will promote scientific and technological cooperation between northern Portugal and Brazil by enabling start-ups and technology companies linked to universities to develop joint research and innovation projects. It will also offer incubation programs, technological acceleration, mentoring, and access to international markets.A key element of the initiative is business mobility, allowing Brazilian start-ups to undertake development periods in Portugal’s innovation ecosystems connected to IPB, while Portuguese companies will collaborate with universities and technology parks in Paraná.The program aims to strengthen research collaboration, technology transfer, and the creation of innovative companies connecting Europe and Brazil.
