Instituto Politécnico do Cávado e do Ave (IPCA) was represented by Student Ombudswoman Liliana Ivone da Silva Pereira at the IV Interim Meeting of Student Ombudsmen (EiPE) on 2026, held at Instituto Politécnico de Viseu.The event, organized by the Rede Portuguesa de Provedores do Estudante do Ensino Superior (RPE), brought together student ombudsmen, students, and leaders from higher education institutions nationwide. The central theme was “Challenges of Artificial Intelligence for Student Ombudsmen: Ethics, Measurement, and Protection of Rights.”Discussions focused on ensuring ethical and transparent AI use, promoting digital literacy, and guaranteeing that AI tools support, rather than compromise, student rights. The event reinforced ombudsmen’s commitment to best practices and student advocacy in a rapidly evolving technological environment.
