At the University Hospital in Kraków, an interdisciplinary team of neurosurgeons, ENT specialists, and neurophysiologists is carrying out complex brain tumor operations using a minimally invasive transnasal approach combined with real-time nerve monitoring. This pioneering collaboration enables the safe removal of midline and skull base tumors without opening the skull, reducing recovery time and minimizing complications such as vision loss or neurological deficits. The approach is also applied successfully in pediatric cases at the University Children’s Hospital.
