
Hungarian Nobel Prize-winning scientist Katalin Karikó, professor at the University of Szeged (SZTE), was honored at the Josephinum Museum in Vienna with the opening of the Forever Forward exhibition.
The event celebrated her contributions to mRNA research and COVID-19 vaccine development. Leaders from SZTE, the Medical University of Vienna, and Hungary’s ambassador to Austria attended the ceremony on May 19.
The exhibition features Karikó’s awards, lab equipment, personal academic items, and early research materials.
Visitors can see the exhibition until May 31, 2025.
